Buxbaum said the new TRIM^TM System, inserted orally, will restrict the size of the stomach, creating a sensation of being full, and it can be kept in place for a long time. “Everyone wins,” said Buxbaum, who pointed out that there are no comparable medical procedures to the TRIM^TM System that can successfully lower the cost of healthcare in so many areas. Patients not only lose weight but also gain freedom from other medical problems that often stem from obesity, such as sleep apnea, hypertension, diabetes, and back pain.
